COVID-19 update: During the COVID-19 pandemic all therapy and supervision sessions continue to be available, and for the time being will be provided online only. Training and teaching has now been adapted to an online format so continues to be available also. Once face to face sessions can begin again, these online options will remain available to give clients as much choice as possible. Please note that any online content provided by Beyer Psychology Services must not be recorded under any circumstances.
My name is Dr Annie Beyer. I am the Principal Psychologist and Director of Beyer Psychology services. I completed my Doctorate in Counselling Psychology at Teesside University in 2011. Since then I have primarily worked in the NHS with adults with severe and enduring mental health difficulties across the North East of England, Berkshire, and South Wales. I am now based in Cardiff and work part time in the NHS whilst maintaining a private practice and working as an independent researcher and trainer.
I am registered with the Health & Care Professions Council. You can check the registration status of any practitioner psychologist by visiting the HCPC website. I am also a chartered member of the British Psychological Society, an Accredited EMDR Practitioner and member of EMDR UK and Ireland , and am a certified supervisor through the BPS’s Register of Applied Psychology Practice Supervisors. Registration and membership with these organisations mean I adhere to their standards of conduct, performance and ethics, and meet their conditions of continuing professional development.
Through Beyer Psychology Services I provide therapy to individuals and couples in a safe and confidential therapeutic space. You can read more about the psychological therapies I provide and what difficulties I am able to help with here. I also provide supervision for trainee and qualified psychologists and therapists. You can read more about supervision here.
