About

My name is Dr Annie Beyer. I am the Principal Psychologist and Director of Beyer Psychology services. I completed my Doctorate in Counselling Psychology at Teesside University in 2011. Since then I have primarily worked in the NHS with adults with severe and enduring mental health difficulties across the North East of England, Berkshire, and South Wales. I am now based in Cardiff. I currently split my time between the NHS, a Senior Lecturer post,  and private practice through which I provide supervision, consultation teaching, training and independent research.

I am registered with the Health & Care Professions Council. You can check the registration status of any practitioner psychologist by visiting the HCPC website. I am also a chartered member of the British Psychological Society, an Accredited EMDR Practitioner and member of EMDR UK and Ireland , and an experienced supervisor. Registration and membership with these organisations mean I adhere to their standards of conduct, performance and ethics, and meet their conditions of continuing professional development.

Through Beyer Psychology Services I provide supervision for trainee and qualified psychologists and therapists. You can read more about supervision here. If you have any training requirements or are looking for a consultant then you can find further details here. I am no longer providing individual therapy for new clients.
