I am experienced in providing supervision to qualified and trainee counselling and clinical psychologists both in an NHS setting and in private practice. I have achieved the training and practice standards expected to be a competent supervisor, and I currently provide the Supervision Training to qualified psychologists and placement supervisors on behalf of the Doctorate in Counselling Psychology at the University of South Wales.
I practice an integrative, relational and systemic approach to supervision, in line with the Shohet and Hawkins (1985) Seven Eyed supervision model. I believe that the normative, informative and restorative roles of supervision are equally as important, so endeavour to create a supervision experience that meets the individual needs of each supervisee with these principles in mind.
